On a rare ocassion, PCARI Project Manager Dr. William G. Padolina joined the Scholarships Forum to give a brief introduction of the PCARI Project and lead the discussions in the Open Forum.
The participants got acquainted with the PCARI scholarship program offerings for the priority areas of Information Infrastructure Development (IID) and Health Innovation and Translational Medicine (HITM). Project Leaders Dr. Louis Alarcon from UP Diliman, and Dr. Guillermo Nuesca from UP Manila also discussed their personal accounts as PCARI project leaders and talked about their PCARI-funded research projects, IIID 13: Resilient Sensory Swarms for Smart Energy and Environmental Monitoring (RESE2NSE) and IHITM 131: Accessible Detection of Dengue using BioMems and MIP Materials, respectively.
